Twitter raged yesterday after Nike announced that Colin Kaepernick would be included in its 30th-anniversary campaign, with an image of the former San Francisco 49ers Quarterback with the text "Believe in something. Even if it means sacrificing everything." While the Nike campaign also includes LeBron James, Serena Williams, Odell Beckham Jr. and Shaquem Griffin, the only person that people are paying attention to is Kaep.

There were videos of people torching their Nike's in the backyard. There were videos of dudes throwing their Nike's in the trash. Some heroic sound guy even cut the logo off of his Nike socks. It was the Keurig Smash of 2017 all over again.

While some were pointing out that destroying Nike products isn't really how you boycott a company or hurt them in any meaningful way, that seemingly obvious detail was lost on almost everyone, but it wasn't lost on Stefan Heck.
