do clay depictions of marduk mean people lived with dragons? Not to mention other dragons. Did we find any fossil evidence of dragons? No we didn't. you want to know why? Because nothing has both arms and wings. It's the same socket and it's use has to change to get wings or to get arms. search the record of every organism that now lives or has ever lived and find me evidence of something with both wings and four limbs.
Are there real tree spirits, three breasted gods, animal headed men, or other such things there have been statues of? No it's just a myth. These articles about dinosaur statues from 400 bc strain to say these 'dinosuars' resemble actual fossil evidence of dinosaurs, but you'll notice all the statues are of long thin lizards. You know..kind of like actual lizards? Many of them look like komodo dragons. Let me explain how you are doing this backwards.
When we find fossil evidence of dinosaurs we don't know what they looked like other then the basic shape of them, as we obviously have nothing else. we try to guess what they look like fully formed. what we actually do is imagine they look just like the lizards we have now. in a sort of cryptomnesia we make depictions like what we have seen before. very probably homo sapiens from 2800 years ago, a very short time evolutionarily speaking, saw similar or probably the same lizards we see and made statues of them. Later we imagine that fully formed dinosaurs looked something like the same lizards and we create depictions of them with that assumption.
On top of this, many structures are efficient and could quite probably be repeated. Maybe something depicted from 800 bc looks like something we know lived millions of years before that, but it doesn't mean the depiction is of the same animal. it would be like seeing cave paintings of mammoths and concluding that elephants walked during the ice age. These particular clay statues have nothing more then a vague form. no detail to suggest anything of what they were attempting to depict.
If you still don't believe in evolution frog bob, go to the zoo and look at the sea lions. look at their flippers. notice something that might be useless to them? I wonder how they got those, unless maybe they used to have feet like most sea mammals used to.
