I know some bibliophiles shudder at the idea of cutting pages, but I have a real soft spot for book art. What I love most about these evocative sculptures by Malena Valcarcel is their suggestion that something within each book is alive. They look as if their contents are pouring out into our world, becoming part of the reader's reality.
