2.
Free toilet paper. This is normally a no-no, but we all do it. Free toiletries. Never again will you have to pay for toilet paper, shampoo, conditioner, boxes and boxes of Kleenex and the countless number of other household items you normally have to shell out at the grocery store. -
3.
Huge discount on hotel rooms, especially if you work for a big chain. I’m talking 50 percent off or more. See the world cheap. -
4.
And to piggy back on the hotel discount, you often get big airfare deals as well. Watch out world, here I come and with plenty of extra spending cash. -
5.
If you work at the front desk, you rule the school. Basically the front desk is the heart of the hotel. You delegate authority and tell other people what needs to be done. The bad side, though, everything hangs over your head. But that’s ok; you can just blame the other departments. -
6.
We’re not your typical customer service. There’s a high intimidation factor when checking into a hotel because they’re entering your house…and they know it. -
7.
If a guest is being rude when checking in, you can put them in the worse room in house and they don’t even know it. If they come back down, you simply say there’s nothing else. How in the hell do they know. But always do it with a smile. -
8.
Diversity. You not only get to meet a diverse guest base, but your fellow co-workers as well. Never a dull moment. -
9.
Kickbacks. You can get some serious kickbacks from guest by making them think you’re moving heaven and earth to make things happen. They don’t know any better and will gladly tip you generously. -
10.
Your look is always on point. Big hotel chains want you to look good and they’ll spend lots of money to do just that. -
11.
Ultimately the people checking in want to have fun and you can show them just how to do that.
