One brawling hockey fan took the old adage of “knock yourself out” a little too literally, giving himself a brutal TKO seconds after surviving a stadium brawl.

Though it’s unclear what prompted these two hockey fans at what appears to be a youth game to start going at it, whatever it was apparently was that serious, the pair coming to blows, their shirts nearly coming off in the action.

Though the fighters respectively emerged relatively unscathed, one man decided to express his remaining frustration, knocking his head against the boards. Yet the man ended up letting off more than just steam, getting a cold knockout to the ground.

So take it from this TKO-ed brawler — hockey and helmets go hand in hand.
