- idiotic. Original Punk was a fantastic thing. It inspired a wave of musical creativty and rebellion. BUT they are not creative musicians at all. Same three chords does NOT impress me. This is why I mentioned metal, it is easily one of the most flexible of all genres. Good metal requires tons of theory and tons of ability. So sir( and by sir I mean prepubescent, moronic dumbass), you must NEVER speak about music again, because someone may actually believe you and that person( unlike you) may do something important in the world.

- also I know about original punk which you didn't even mention. Crack Rock Steady 7, Dead Kennedys, The Ramones, Choking Victim. Those were real punk bands and none of them were REALLY that talented...not to say they weren't good bands...but as for musical mastery...there was none

- ledt me begin with this-I respect your position and you have every right to having said opinion. Now that I've said this....ARE YOU FUCKING RETARDED? NOFX? Flogging Molly? Really? They are the epitome of what our society has to offer? Don't get me wrong here...I love Flogging Molly. but they are in no way the best or even in the cream of the crop of the musical world. So using the same exact power chords in every song makes you a good musician, my friend you need a serious reality check here. Look up some REAL musicians. joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Jimmy Page, Flea, BB King. As for bands? how about guys like Trans-Siberian Ochestra with some of the best orchestrations I've ever seen. or even bands like Lamb of God with actual music theory. So please, if you are under the age of sixteen or over the age of sixteen listen to something besides the standard A,D,E, power chords...you'll be much better off and may develop as a human being better than if you listened to solely punk music
